Situated in the northernmost part of Nagano prefecture only meters from Lake Nojiri, LAMP is a cozy hotel with an ambient wooden interior recently renovated with love by our own team of staff.
Our vision for LAMP has always been to create a warm and welcoming environment and provide reasonably-priced accommodation so that those who love the outdoors the most can have easy access to the best outdoor adventures in Nagano and Niigata.

Sunday Planning Outdoor School

Get out in the spring sun and hike the mountains gathering edible wild plants for dinner. Explore Lake Nojiri and our nearby rivers in fall while you try out kayaking, canoeing, rafting, and stand up paddle boarding in summer.
When it starts to cool down you'll be amazed at how many different kinds of mushrooms you'll find if you join one of our mushroom gathering tours. In winter, join a cross-country ski or snowshoe tour and traverse the same mountains blanketed in virgin snow.

LAMP Restaurant & Café

Our restaurant offers an extensive menu of gourmet dishes including gapao rice, beef steaks, and locally-sourced chicken.
You won't want to miss trying one of delicious hamburgers on offer from June through October, and we guarantee our espresso coffees are the best you'll find for miles!

Lake Nojiri has always been a popular spot for summer vacations thanks to its clear, clean water that's great for swimming in,
and the township around Lake Nojiri originally began as a collection of holiday homes owned by expats living in Japan.
We make the most of being right on the lakeside and offer kayaking, canoeing, and stand up paddle boarding lessons in the summer.

The area around LAMP is completely blanketed in white in the winter and LAMP is conveniently located a short drive from five major ski fields.
This makes it the perfect spot for skiers to base themselves during the season!
When you need to warm up, you can choose from over 11 nearby hot springs all within a 15 minute drive away.
